Enterprise Land makes key senior hires to drive ambitious growth plans

Enterprise Land, a UK and European real estate investment company founded by real estate investment management veteran Andrew Thornton, has made three senior hires to support its ambitious growth plans.

Dominic von Felten has joined as managing director and member of the management committee, Olivia Thornton has joined as director of risk management and Charles Stevens has joined as portfolio manager.

Enterprise Land was launched last month by Andrew Thornton, the former Principal Real Estate Europe head, to bring together and work with companies specialising in the four factors of production, enterprise, land, labour and capital, to offer compelling, differentiated, European investment solutions.

With offices in London and Zurich, Enterprise Land will initially focus on investment and development in the student accommodation, data centre and logistics sectors, which are benefitting from tailwinds and offer mid-teen development returns.

Based in Zurich, managing director, Dominic von Felten, is responsible for European business development building close relationships with investors, understanding their priorities and delivering investment solutions that create real value.

Before joining Enterprise Land, he was in charge of real estate business development for Baloise Insurance Group’s Asset Management division and held various senior advisor roles at proptech companies, including Cloudbrixx. Before that, he spent 15 years at UBS, latterly as head of business development for Switzerland, Austria and Central and Eastern Europe in the real estate and private markets unit of the UBS Asset Management division.

Olivia Thornton brings diverse experience of the financial services industry to Enterprise Land as director of risk management. She has spent her career in the banking and hedge fund sectors, specialising in complex products, structured derivatives, fixed income and risk analysis.

Portfolio manager, Charles Stevens, is responsible for underwriting investment strategies, carrying out due diligence and auditing operating partners and ensuring accurate, timely reporting to clients. A qualified accountant, he was previously finance director of Senescura, a company developing an integrated retirement community and care home, and of Hencote, a family-owned hospitality business near Shrewsbury, featuring a 22,000-vine vineyard, a restaurant and accommodation.

Andrew Thornton, founder and chief executive of Enterprise Land, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Dominic, Olivia and Charles to the team. They will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to become a leading real estate investment player”.
