Enterprise Land expands into hotel sector with senior hires from Principal Asset Management

Enterprise Land, a UK and European real estate investment company founded by Andrew Thornton, has launched a new hotel platform as part of its strategy to diversify across operational real estate.

The new hotel platform is led by Hugo Steen and Dorian Dreyfus, both of whom have  joined Enterprise Land from Principal Asset Management, reuniting with Thornton, the former CEO Real Estate Europe of Principal Asset Management.

Steen and Dreyfus bring extensive experience in hotel investment and development across Europe and will be responsible for building out Enterprise Land’s strategy in the sector. Steen was formerly Head of Hotel and Leisure Investments at Principal Asset Management, leading hotel investment activity across multiple jurisdictions and, most recently, directing the division’s post-Covid strategy, which focused on value-add investment in markets with a strong leisure offering. Dreyfus was formerly Director of Project Management in the same team.

The new hotel strategy follows Enterprise Land’s recent launch of Casa, its purpose-built student accommodation brand and is part of the company’s broader ambition to establish sector-specific investment platforms across Europe.
